Vote in favour of a Europe-wide law to regulate artificial intelligence

The European Parliament on Wednesday adopted the legislation on artificial intelligence by a large majority. The aim is to guarantee the safety of such systems without unnecessarily hampering innovation.
According to a statement on the European Parliament’s website, the proposal for a regulation, which was agreed with Member States last December, was adopted by 523 votes to 46, with 49 abstentions.
