September housing sales data in the United States

The National Association of REALTORS® reports that existing home sales declined in September.
Three of the four major regions in the United States saw a decline in sales, while the western regions saw a significant increase. Year-over-year, sales declined in three regions but increased in the West. Total existing-home sales, which include single-family homes, townhomes, condominiums, and condominiums, declined 1.0% from August to a seasonally adjusted 3.84 million units in September. Year-to-date sales were down 3.5% from 3.98 million in September 2023.
