Mercedes-Benz uses humanoid robots in its factories

According to Mercedes-Benz, the humanoids will be used to automate low-skilled, repetitive and physically demanding tasks, but the first step is to assess exactly what jobs the robot can help with.
Apollo was unveiled to the public last year – the robot’s aim, according to the company’s CEO Jeff Cardenas, is to enable people to do less work by taking on the most boring, least creative tasks. The robot will later be used in space, courtesy of NASA, while on Earth it will serve in warehouses and factories. Mercedes-Benz will use it for logistics tasks: the robot will deliver parts while checking their condition and quality.
