According to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics, inflationary pressures in the United States continued in February, with the Consumer Price Index rising 0.4% from the previous month and 3.2% year-over-year. Both indicators were broadly in line with economists’ forecasts. ‘Core’ prices, which exclude food and petrol, continued to rise, rising 0.4% month-on-month and 3.8% year-on-year, both higher than expected.
