French Defence Minister Sebastien Lecornu said on Tuesday he was ready to use his powers to requisition industrial capacity or prioritise arms manufacturers to speed up the production of weapons and ammunition needed for Ukraine and other battlefields.

“These issues … are clearly on the agenda,” Lecornu told a news conference, adding that inventories and production lines are particularly stretched for anti-aircraft missiles and artillery shells.
