Amazon’s computing unit AWS is in talks with Italy to invest billions of euros to expand its data centre business in the country, as part of the tech giant’s drive to boost its cloud services in Europe, four people familiar with the matter said.

According to the sources, the size and location of the investment are being discussed between the parties, with one of them saying Amazon Web Service (AWS) is considering expanding its current Milan site or building a new one.
