According to IDC, Apple will lose its leading position as a phone maker to Samsung as iPhone shipments fall

Apple’s smartphone shipments fell by about 10% in the first quarter of 2024, driven by increased competition from top Android smartphone makers, according to data released Sunday by market research firm IDC.
Global smartphone shipments rose 7.8% to 289.4 million units in January-March, with Samsung taking the lead from Apple with a 20.8% market share.
