United Parcel Service will become the primary air freight carrier for the United States Postal Service (USPS), the company announced Monday.
Rival FedEx, which had USPS as the largest customer in its air-based express segment, said it is seeking a more lucrative contract with the postal service.
FedEx’s contract with the USPS expires on Sept. 29.
