The Next Version of Fantom Arrives in Summer

The Fantom Foundation announced that they are preparing to launch the next version of the blockchain project. The new iteration, named Sonic, is planned to function as a common sequencer between layer 1 and layer 2 chains, aiming to process a large volume of transactions, up to 2000 transactions per second. The introduction of Sonic also includes the expansion of Fantom DeFi activities with support for liquid staking tokens.
