Sam Bankman-Fried Sentenced to 25 Years in Prison

Former CEO of the bankrupt FTX cryptobroker, Sam Bankman-Fried, has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for seven counts of fraud and conspiracy. Additionally, Judge Lewis Kaplan imposed an $11 billion fine. The judge announced his decision after a two-hour hearing in a Manhattan courtroom, stating that SBF showed no remorse and that his publicly projected positive and selfless personality was merely a facade.
