Mastercard and Standard Chartered Bank Hong Kong (SCBHK) have successfully completed the first live test of the Mastercard Multi-Token Network (MTN). The card issuer launched MTN in June 2023, built on its private blockchain. This proof-of-concept pilot test tokenized carbon credits under the supervision of the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) Fintech department.
