Yao Qian, former head of the Chinese central bank’s digital currency institute, is under investigation by Chinese anti-corruption authorities for suspected serious violations of discipline and law. The specific reasons are not yet known, but in April, Yao published an article discussing Bitcoin spot ETF products approved by the United States and suggesting further increases in the Bitcoin price.
