Vitalik Provides Additional Support to Embattled Tornado Cash Developers
Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has donated another 100 ETH to the legal defense fund for Tornado Cash developer Roman Storm. This is not Buterin’s first contribution, as he has previously spoken out in defense of Storm, who faces a potential maximum sentence of 45 years in prison if convicted. This prospect has triggered a wave of support, with the fund now having raised over 327 ETH, approximately $785,000, dedicated to the legal defense of Tornado Cash developers Alexey Pertsev and Roman Storm.
The Birth of Memelandia
The TON community has announced the creation of Memelandia, a strategic initiative backed by the TON Foundation and the TON Association, to develop a memecoin narrative within the ecosystem. Memelandia’s objectives include increasing the trading volume of memecoins on TON, supporting the launch of successful projects with a market value exceeding $100 million, and overtaking Solana’s dominance in the memecoin space.
