MANGO DAO Reaches Agreement with Authorities

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has reached an agreement with Mango DAO, Mango Labs LLC, and the Blockworks Foundation, where the defendants acknowledge that the MNGO token was an unregistered security, and the organizations had offered unregistered brokerage services. As part of the settlement, the MNGO tokens will be destroyed, and a total fine of $700,000 will be paid.

CZ is Free Again

Changpeng “CZ” Zhao, former CEO and co-founder of Binance, was released on Friday. CZ had been sentenced to four months in prison in April this year after pleading guilty last year to failing to implement an effective anti-money laundering program. According to current Binance leadership, Zhao will not influence the company’s decision-making going forward.
