Only 43% of Hamster Kombat Users to Receive Airdrop

The team behind the popular Telegram tap-to-earn game, Hamster Kombat, has announced that 60 billion tokens will be distributed in its first airdrop. Despite the game having 300 million users, only 131 million qualified, meaning just 43% of users will receive tokens. The team also revealed that 2.3 million users were banned for cheating.

Bitfarms and Riot Platforms Reach Agreement

Bitcoin mining companies Bitfarms and Riot Platforms have reached a settlement in which Bitfarms co-founder Andres Finkielsztain stepped down from the board, replaced by an independent director proposed by Riot, Amy Freedman. Riot had attempted to acquire Bitfarms for approximately $950 million in April, though the deal fell through. However, Riot remains Bitfarms’ largest shareholder, and this agreement brings them one step closer to a full acquisition.

Celestia Receives $100 Million in Funding

The Celestia Foundation, behind the first specialized modular blockchain, announced it has raised $100 million in funding, led by Bain Capital Crypto, with participation from Syncracy Capital, 1kx, Robot Ventures, Placeholder, and others. The funds will be used to advance their technology, aiming to scale to 1-gigabyte blocks.

Siemens Chooses JPMorgan's Blockchain for Commercial Paper

German industrial giant Siemens AG has announced it will use JPMorgan’s Onyx blockchain-based payment system and the SWIAT private blockchain for the issuance and settlement of its tokenized commercial paper. Payments will be processed through the Onyx network using the JPM Coin System, while asset transfers will leverage the SWIAT network’s delivery-versus-payment (DvP) mechanism.
