Coinbase Expands cbBTC to Solana
At Solana Breakpoint 2024, Coinbase, the crypto broker, announced plans to extend its wrapped BTC token, cbBTC, to the Solana network. Currently, the token has a market capitalization of approximately $137 million and is available on the Ethereum and Base blockchains.
Plume Network's $1.25 Billion RWA Tokenization Plans
Plume Network plans to tokenize around $1.25 billion worth of real-world assets by the fourth quarter. Among the assets being moved to the blockchain are Plural Energy’s $300 million solar park, Credbull’s $500 million private credit fund, approximately $120 million in Medicaid-backed receivables, and various oil and gas rights. Token holders will have the opportunity to earn yields throughout the process.
