Oasys Enters the Korean Market

Japanese gaming blockchain Oasys has partnered with SK Planet, a subsidiary of South Korean telecom giant SK Telecom, with the aim of integrating its 28 million users into Oasys’ gaming ecosystem. This partnership gives Oasys significant access to the Korean market. As part of the collaboration, SK Planet will also serve as a validator for the Oasys network.

Metaplanet Makes Another BTC Purchase

Tokyo Stock Exchange-listed investment firm Metaplanet has announced the purchase of an additional 38.464 bitcoins, valued at approximately 300 million yen (around 2 million USD). This brings the company’s total bitcoin holdings to 398.8 BTC. Metaplanet continues to express optimism about Bitcoin, the world’s largest cryptocurrency, in its statements.

Telefónica Chooses Polygon for Digital Identity Solutions

Spanish telecom giant Telefónica’s digital business unit is integrating Privado ID tools with Polygon’s TrustOS blockchain service. This initiative aligns with the European Union’s proposed framework aimed at providing citizens, residents, and businesses with a universally recognized digital identity. The goal is to facilitate access to public services and streamline transactions across various sectors.

PayPal and Venmo Integrated ENS

ENS Labs has announced that the payment service providers PayPal and Venmo have integrated the Ethereum Name Service (ENS) into their platforms. ENS is a decentralized naming system built on the Ethereum blockchain, allowing readable names to be assigned to crypto addresses. With this innovation, PayPal and Venmo users can now directly enter the recipient’s ENS name when sending crypto assets, and the payment platforms will automatically identify the wallet addresses associated with the ENS names. The service will initially be available only to users in the United States.
