Paxos Strengthens with Former CFTC Chairman

Paxos, the stablecoin issuer, has appointed former chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), J. Christopher Giancarlo, as a member of its board of directors. Giancarlo, also known as “CryptoDad,” served as CFTC chairman from March 2017 to April 2019, overseeing the introduction of the first bitcoin futures products. At Paxos, he will collaborate with, among others, former U.S. Senator Bill Bradley (D-N.J.).
