Roger Ver, an early Bitcoin investor known as “Bitcoin Jesus” online, has been charged by US authorities with fraud, tax evasion, and filing false tax returns. He was arrested over the weekend in Spain. According to the indictment, in 2017, he concealed ownership of Bitcoin from the US tax authorities, causing a loss of $48 million. Ver was previously the CEO of a company developing digital wallets.
