The Winklevoss brothers, behind the Gemini cryptocurrency exchange, have announced plans to create the first football club operated by Bitcoin. As a first step, they invested $4.5 million worth of Bitcoin into the Real Bedford Football Club (RBFC), becoming co-owners alongside Peter McCormack. The investment primarily aims to support Bedford FC’s efforts to enter the Premier League.
