Rising retail sales in the UK in June 2024

UK retail sales fell by 1.2% in June 2024, after growing by 2.9% in May.
Most sectors saw a decline, with sales at department stores and clothing retailers broadly back to the level seen in the first quarter of 2024.
Sales volumes in the second quarter of 2024 were down 0.1% compared to the previous quarter and down 0.2% compared to the same period in 2023.
